An environment and depth was created through the manipulation of material(using aspects of paint and creating the illusion of space/depth)in which the kinetic image existed... constantly in flux and flowing through this space... which was maintained by machine... in which the materiality (or lack there of) of this video projection became extremely important...

The form of washers and nuts become extremely mimetic of that of red bloods...
In substituting the smallest element of machinery and having them stand in as one of the smaller elements of life creates an interesting juxtaposition ...

Creative Explorations with a Spark plug

I have become increasingly obsessive compulsive with using a spark plug as a reoccurring motif... it is a play off of Francis Picabia's portrait of a young american girl in the state of nudity.... in which he claimed a mechanical drawing of a spark-plug to be the portrait of a young girl ... which begins to draw connections and become reminiscent of the classical nude...?
